Lions, this is an opportunity of a "lifetime" for most of us. The closest most of us get to an International Officer is in our monthly Lion magazine.  We will have the opportunity to meet with him and show him how the Lions of Arkansas are serving and supporting their communities, state, and international projects.  It is time for us to brag about how GREAT the Lions of Arkansas are !!!!!! The best way we can accomplish this is to request 100 % participation from our clubs in attendence.  Spread the word and get ready to ***************************************************************

GUIDING LION & NEW OFFICER TRAINING

Dear Fellow Lions,

I would like to thank everyone who attended the Officer Training and the Cabinet Meeting Saturday, July 19th. It was a huge success thanks to you. THANK YOU. I had some of you to ask when the next Officer Training would be scheduled for those that could not attend. The information is provided below for you.

Once again, this year, we would ask that you make a supreme effort to attend this training. We would like to have a record turn out this year. However, we do not want this merely for a new record, but instead to help launch 2008-2009 with well trained Officers, ready to make this our best Lions year ever. I am asking all of you to personally to attend the trainings that are offered. Not only will this help your Club but it will also show your support in the continued efforts and growth of Lionism in your district. No matter how long a person has served as an Officer, they still need to attend the training. As you know, things are constantly changing and sharing you experiences may help other Lions. One last note: the trainings that are provided are open to ALL members and you do not have to be in officer to attend.

The Guiding Lion training is scheduled Monday, July 28, 2008 at 6:00 p.m. located at Karla Restaurant ~700 N Rock Street ~ Sheridan. The evening meal will be Dutch treat. This training is for people who have desire to help our great Association by helping new Clubs and assisting you neighboring clubs. It does take some time commitment, but it is necessary if these new Clubs are to survive and be viable. Please encourage everyone to attend this training.

August 14 – Officer Training at 6:00 p.m. ~Bonanza Steakhouse ~2922 Olive St. Pine Bluff, Ark. We have a request from the management of the facility for a head count if possible. If you are planning to attend could you please RSVP and let me know so that I may supply this count as soon as possible.
If you have any questions please feel free to contact me, please send an e-mail to fantasia@cebridge.net or contact me via phone 501-743-9227. I’m thanking you in advance for your help and commitment to SERVE.
